90 Day Fiancé star Jenny Slatten doesn’t have time for haters as she soaks up quality time with husband Sumit Singh amid her battle with ALS.
“If you don’t know what ALS does to a person please research it, we came to the beach for part of my treatment,” Jenny, 68, explained via Facebook on Wednesday, October 21, in response to social media users criticizing the couple for taking a vacation while she’s struggling with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS).
The TLC personality — who has been documenting her trip to Goa, India, with her 38-year-old husband this month via Facebook — revealed, “The ocean has negative ions and that’s good for an ALS PATIENT so that’s why we’re here.”
Jenny then advised her followers to restrain from leaving negative comments, especially if they don’t understand her health journey.
“So please keep your negative hateful comments to yourself, my life is going to end and yours will keep going on so if you don’t agree with our sea vacation keep it to yourself,” she fired back. “Thank you 🙏🏻.”
Jenny’s honest remarks come five months after she announced in May that she was diagnosed with ALS, a degenerative nervous system disease that damages nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord and often leads to the loss of muscle control, per Mayo Clinic.
In September, Jenny’s friend Serma Minincleri gave fans an update on her condition via her GoFundMe page, noting that the reality star was “getting weaker by the day.”

“[Jenny] is doing what is asked of her and she will also be starting acupuncture very soon, there are trials that have shown great response with acupuncture and other holistic services that can greatly improve mobility and feeling less tired,” Serma added after creating the fundraising profile in July. “Jenny hardly speaks now as it hurts.”
While Jenny has good and bad days, Sumit, whom she wed in 2021, has stuck by her side through it all. He’s even become her primary caregiver after the couple appeared on season 3 of 90 Day: The Last Resort, which aired this past summer.
“Sumit does everything for me,” Jenny exclusively told Us’ in the Reality Stars of the Year issue, which hit newsstands earlier this month. “Going through this has made me even more grateful for the life we have together.”
She revealed, “Our love has become stronger because we’ve had to face things together that we never expected. It’s shown me just how much we can rely on each other.”
Despite the hardships they now face as a couple, Sumit told Us Jenny continues to be his bright light.
“From the moment we wake up, Jenny is always looking out for me and finding a reason to smile,” he said. “I really admire how she continues to find joy in life, even during difficult times. Her positivity inspires me every day.”
